Stender to Host License Plate Replacement Event
May 14, 2026
HARRISBURG – Rep. Michael Stender (R-Montour/Northumberland) will host a License Plate Replacement Event on Thursday, May 28, from 3-5 p.m. at Watsontown Memorial Park.
The event will provide residents with an opportunity to begin the process of replacing damaged, illegible or peeling license plates. Plates that are difficult to read can lead to issues during vehicle inspections or with law enforcement.
“People with unreadable plates often do not know how to get it replaced,” said Stender. “This event gives people a straightforward way to start the replacement process and get the paperwork handled correctly.”
Staff will be on hand to assist with the necessary forms and answer questions about eligibility and next steps.
There is no cost to apply for a standard replacement plate if it is deemed illegible. Not all plates qualify, and PennDOT makes the final determination.
Residents are encouraged to stop by during the event to learn more and take advantage of this service. Additional details are available at RepStender.com or by contacting Stender’s district office at 570-286-5885.
